Falafel

Ingredients:
1) 1/2 kg chick peas-soaked over night
2) 2 tbsp coriander
3) 1 green chilli
4) 2 tbsp garlic paste
5) 1 small onion-sliced
6) water
7) 25 gm flour
8) salt & pepper
9) 1/2 tsp cumin powder
10)1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda

Method:
1) Grind and mix all ingredients together. Season well.

2) Make 50 small balls out of the mixture and deep fry over a moderate flame until golden in color and completely cooked.

3)Drain and serve.

These are good in a pita sandwich. Split the pita on one side (lengthwise) to form and opening.Place a layer of falafel, some tahini, sour cream and lettuce along with some chopped onions and serve.

Can eat as a snack also.
